Installing Robo JDE

This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Robo JDE on your computer. Robo JDE is required to be able to load programs onto the robot, however, it is highly recommended that you use an IDE to write your code.


What you need to get started

  1. A computer with an internet connection

  2. An internet browser (such as Firefox or Chrome)

  3. Know how to download and install a program

Setting up Robo JDE


Now we are going to set up Robo JDE which is the software used to send your code from your computer to the robots.


  1. Open a web browser and go to http://www.ridgesoft.com/robojde/robojde.htm

  2. On the right hand side of the screen click on “Download Version 2.0”

  3. After the page loads scroll to the bottom and choose which version to download

  4. Follow the instructions below depending on which operating system you use:

  5. Windows Users


    1. For security reasons a window pops up asking to confirm the download click “Yes”

    2. The Installation Wizard will pull up then click “Next”

    3. Agree to the term and conditions then click “Next”

    4. Select where you want to save the program leave this as the default setting

    5. Click next one more time to confirm you want to make a new extensions and then Robo JDE will install

    Mac Users


    1. Once Robo JDE has downloaded go to the “Downloads” folder and click on the Robo JDE file, when you do this the Finder should pull up the Install Icon click on it and your computer will start to install Robo JDE

    2. The Installation Wizard will pull up then click “Next”

    3. Agree to the term and conditions then click “Next”

    4. Select where you want to save the program leave this as the default setting

    5. Click next one more time to confirm you want to make a new extensions and then Robo JDE will install

Congratulations! You now have Robo JDE installed on your computer and you will be able to load programs onto the IntelliBrain bot and run them!
